Australia's Cedar Creek Band

THE CEDAR CREEK BAND was created by David Tyne, ex-leader and founding member of the award winning group, and first Starmaker winners, "Grand Junction". Grand Junction was also the recipient of a "Golden Guitar" for Best Vocal Group in 1981, and later, were winners of the prestigious Mo Award.

Along with Dave on bass guitar and vocals, his brother, Mike Tyne (also a member of Grand Junction), plays pedal steel and dobro in the band. The other members of Cedar Creek Band include Dave's son Clint on lead guitar, banjo and vocals, John Blight on rhythm guitar and vocals, Peter Figgett on keyboard and vocals, and Mick Miles on drums. Occasionally, they are joined by ex-Grand Junction fiddle player, Lance Clark

Their repertoire of musical styles include Bluegrass, Contemporary Country, Country Rock, Western Swing and Rock'n'Roll.

The band released its first, self-titled, sixteen track CD in 2001, forging a name for the group both in Australia, and overseas on the world wide music charts.

Their latest 12 track CD, Still Creakin', features three new, original songs, one by Dave Tyne and two by long-time legend, Shorty Ranger.

Apart from performing up and down the mid north coast of NSW, the band looks forward to appearing at some of the major Country Music Festivals in the future.
