TROPICAL WATER LILIES
Tropicals are readily recognised by flowers standing above the water
and they have blue shades which do not occur in Hardy Lilies.
Hardy lilies are propagated by RHIZOME subdivision but Tropicals
develop nutlets among the roots. In colder areas these nutlets can
be lifted when the parent plant dies back and stored in a damp place
to be replanted the following spring.
Tropical plants are only available when nutlets are producing new
plants in spring and summer. Definitely not available in winter.
In order to supply you a substantial plant we prefer not to supply
tropicals before JANUARY.
January to March is the best time to transplant Tropicals.
