Les Graham F.A.I.H.A was born in Kempsey NSW in 1942. He has been a professional artist for over 30 years and has held numerous exhibitions throughout Australia. He has won many awards and his paintings hang in some prestigious collections around the world. He has published two books, written many articles for the Australian Artist magazine and in 1985 he was awarded a fellowship with the Australian Institute of History and Arts.

In 1980 he presented a collection of over 30 works to be hung in perpetuity in the town of Kempsey. They are on show in the Civic Centre West Kempsey. He paints in many mediums and has made 15 statuettes.

In 1995 Les felt that he had achieved all he could in the city galleries and moved back to Kempsey NSW where he could devote his time to painting and capturing the beauty of the Macleay Valley and coastline.

He has now settled on the Crescent Head Road with his wife Lorraine where he regularly opens his Studo-Gallery to the public.
