David Oriel Industries Pty Ltd is Australia's largest manufacturer of permanent magnets and the only Australian producer of both alnico and strontium ferrite magnets.
Established in 1975 the company manufactures permanent magnets to a wide range of standard designs together with magnets made directly to customer specification.
The company has supplied magnets both in Australia and overseas to a wide variety of clients including the automotive, security, and defence industries.
Whilst David Oriel Industries Pty Ltd has the capacity to produce large volume it has the flexibility to manufacture smaller quantities of customer designed magnets that may not be available through other producers.
The alnico catalogue lists standard size magnets normally available from stock. For production quantities delivery would normally be 4 to 6 weeks ex factory.
Tooling for magnets is expensive and it is recommended that standard types be used when only small quantities are required.
All magnets will be shipped fully magnetised unless the order states that magnets are to be supplied in an unmagnetised condition
General tolerances applying to standard alnico magnets are: (plus or minus).
over ground surfaces 0.08mm. over cast surfaces 0 - 50mm 0.40mm. 50mm - 100mm 0.79mm. 100mm - 150mm 1.00mm.
