Domain Name Hosting

In Australia (.com.au, .net.au, etc.), a domain name is registered much like registered business names. You must record your request and usually pay an administration fee of $140.00 including GST per two years (applies to .com.au and net.au), some others are available free for associations and organisations.

Internationally you can register a domain name for approximately $121 per two years.

Depending on which parent domain is selected ie .com.au or .com for example a recurring charge is levied by the authority responsible for that parent domain. These charges are separate to those above.  We can pay these fees for you and charge your account.

DNS – Domain Name Service.

The domain name system which operates worldwide is the mechanism that enables web and email servers to be quickly found anywhere in the world. It is  like a telephone book but instead of supplying telephone numbers it provides the  network address of the computer that you are looking for. This service is required to advertise any domain name eg midcoast.com.au.  or  yourdomain.com on the internet.

SMTP Mail Relay

SMTP stands for simple mail transport protocol and provides the standard mechanism for email to be transported around the world. Our relay service allows for our servers to collect your email and wait for your in house mail server to collect it.  It requires a permanent IP address which we supply to you.

Web Site

Our web sites comprise of  WWW,FTP, and WML (if required) servers. We also provide daily/weekly/ and monthly web reports to show you the activity on your site.

Email Account

Our email server  enables you to manage your users ,  collect email via a web browser or a standard email client.

This is traffic coming to your site as requests. This would enable you to receive over 200,000 requests per month
