If you have problems connecting, or problems staying on the line you may like to try the following:

  1. Select Connection then select Advanced.
  2. Ensure ‘Use flow control’ is ticked and ‘Hardware (RTS/CTS)’ is selected.
  3. Also if available check that Use error control is ticked and Compress data is selected.
  4. Lastly in the field named Extra Settings ensure that it contains the following line:

&F+MS=56,1,300,42000,1,0 if this field is blank please enter that line of text.

Note: The 42000 can be modified up to 56000, for faster potential modem speeds, but speeds above 42000 BPS are not usually obtained  due to restrictions on phone lines. If you still have problems, change the line of text to at+ms=11,1,300,33600.
