UltraSatLink in association with your dial-up service provides download speeds from 256kbps to 512kbps this provides up to 10 times faster download speeds than a 56k modem.

What Do I Need?

The system is compatible with Win9X WINNT and Linux.
We will supply you with all the required hardware and software.
We can arrange for professional installation to ensure that the correct satellite alignment is made.

How Does It Work?

You use your modem and phone line to connect to your Midcoast account.
Midcoast forwards your requests for data to the Internet, then all data gets delivered back to your computer via the satellite dish mounted at your premises.

What Do I Need To Know?

There is a one-off hardware charge of $350.00 plus installation costs.
This will include satellite receiver card, dish and mount.
All plans and packages have a contract term of 6 months, during which you may switch between the plans and the packages below at any time.

Installation charges will very depending on site location and conditions, length of cable etc. Travelling charges will be $1.00 per kilometre.
As a guide $200.00 would be an indicator for an in town install.

There are 2 dish sizes available - 65cm, 85cm.
(A Larger dish size may be required in areas of heavy rainfall)

Only one login at a time is permitted on the dial-up service.
Customers whose dial-up services is connected for more than 4 continuous hours maybe disconnected.
Customer’s dial-up service will be disconnected after 20 minutes of idle time.
In peak periods, modems for the dial-up service may not always be available.
Normal telecommunications charges apply for the dial up service.
Any unused megabytes within the download limit available in a month are not rolled over into the following month.
Customers using the dial-up service are entitled to 1 mailbox to be used only with that dial-up service.
Customers are entitled to a free Personal Web page limited to 5MB.
Technical support is available from 8am to 6pm weekdays or paging service on weekends by ringing 1300 134 638.

When ordering please indicate whether you will be mounting the satellite dish on a Metal or Tile roof or will be wall mounted.
Please note, if you are renting or living in a body corporate building, you will need written approval from your landlord or body corporate to proceed.

Our current Port Macquarie site has been operating since February 2002 and has proved 99.9% reliable. It has a range of up to four kilometres depending on terrain between the client site and our antennae in the Port CBD and Industrial areas. This allows us to provide for the majority of business customers and also many home users. While we do not yet have Wireless sites in other regional centres, we do plan to provide the service to Taree and Coffs Harbour in the future.

Gold Wireless Connection
The Gold service is the highest priority service giving a speed range of 256k to 512k per second. Bursts above the maximum speed are possible when network conditions allow. Priorities only come into play when the network becomes busy. This package allows 10 Gigabytes of data transfer, or 10,000 MB. You also receive a fixed IP address allowing you to host your own mail or web server.
Price: $220.00 per month.

Bronze Wireless Connection
The Bronze service is a lower priority service giving a speed range of 0k to 512k per second. Bursts above the maximum speed are possible when network conditions allow. Priorities only come into play when the network becomes busy. This package allows 5 Gigabytes of data transfer, or 5,000 MB. You also receive a fixed IP address allowing you to host your own mail or web server.
Price: $77.00 per month.

Additional Information
Access to the wireless network is with a Waverider wireless modem and antenna. These are available to buy for $1,365 or a range of rental options are also available. A six month rental contract is $50 per month or alternatively a 12 month contract is $40 per month and an 18 month contract is just $30 per month.
If an external antenna is required, they are available for $450 + installation.
Should you go over the data allowance in any month the additional data will charged at $0.11 per MB.
